Swimming

We took Pierson to the pool for the first time this weekend. He had a blast and loves the water! There was a kiddie pool that we let him play in and he would swim right up to the waterfall and splash around. The one thing Nate and I didnt realize is that his feet were touching the bottom of the pool so when we took him out the balls of his toes were bleeding. It didnt seem to bother him a bit though! The next day he wore socks!

Being pushed around...just hanging out!
Swimming like a big boy.

He was SO tired, this is how he feel asleep. If you look closely you can see the red on the bottom of his toes...poor thing!

7 months

Our little man is 7 months old. Hard to believe but we are loving it. The last month was probably the hardest we have had due to a combination of sickness, helmet, and teething but we now have 2 teeth and are feeling much better. He is truly such a happy baby and only gets really upset when he is hungry or tired. We have been having so much fun lately.

-We are almost done with physical therapy and he is getting stronger everyday. He is rolling all over the place and loves to play sitting up as well.

-We have had the helmet on for 3 weeks now and go back in tomorrow for a new scan. Hopefully there will be some improvement.

-He makes the sound, "a-da" over and over again. Sometimes Nate wants to think he is saying dada.

-He blows bubbles and spits everywhere.

-He loves to bang on things, tables, toys, shoe box, bowls, his legs, anything that will make noise.

-He loves to feel his teeth with his fingers.

-He is truly sleeping through the night, about 11-12 hours a night! YEA! (I feel like a new person!)

-He rolls everywhere he wants to go, but isnt close to crawling.

-He LOVES Bentley and moves his arms and legs very fast everytime he sees her.

-He doesnt like vegetables, I have tried them all - all 5 of them, really, cant they make more veggies? I have to trick him into eating them. I will give him a spoon of fruit and then veggies. After the spoon of fruit he opens his mouth wide like a bird and then after the veggies he cries. It is hilarious!

-He loves apples and pears, but doesnt like peaches.

Watching praise baby with his paci and blanket. He loves this blanket.

Playing with Grandmother on our trip to College Station.

Chillin at Pappasitos, chewing on a straw. What a mess.

On Daddy's shoulders.

Hanging out with Grandpa and Annie - this was the best pic of the 3 of them but Uncle Jared had to ruin it! :)

Feeding Bentley his leftover pears. I have a feeling this will be a picture we see a lot in our house.

This is what mom does when nothing else is working and needs to cook dinner. He loves being outside so here we are in the exersaucer outside - he played for about 35 mins like this!

He can now feed himself but doesnt really like too. Look mom, one hand!

Eating Gerber Puffs - loves these things!

This kid would drink water out of a cup any day but try to give it to him in a sippy cup and he just throws it on the floor. The sippy cup is not going very well.
He is also letting us know what he likes/dislikes more often. If he doesnt want to be held he pushes off with his arms. If he wants to be put down he leans over as far as he can and when he is upset, he wants to put his paci in his mouth.
He is growing up so fast and we just love him to pieces.

New Hat

Pierson finally got his helmet this week! We are so glad to finally have it and cant wait for it to start working its magic! We have had a crazy week and poor guy has been a mess, but who can blame him! Thanks to Grams for watching him the past couple of days so I could work! Dont know what we would do with out her! So far he...

- Has had a fever for 48 hours (up to 102.4)

- Diagnosed with an upper respiratory virus, no antibiotics, just give him tylenol

- Cant breath, which makes eating and sleeping difficult

- Has kinesio tape on his neck for his torticollis

- Got his helmet and is wearing it most of the day

- His first tooth is coming on through!!

Poor guy just cant catch a break, but he is still pretty cute!

Sleeping with his helmet. (I know this pic is dark but I didnt want to wake him with the flash.)

Yesterday playing on the guest bed. If you look closely he has snot running out of his nose and his eyes are so red but he is still putting on a smile (or trying to)! Love him!

6 months

This post is just a little late since Pierson will be 7 months in just a couple of weeks but I wanted to make sure I got in an update!

-He is in bed between 7:30 to 8 each night and is currently waking up to eat between 5 and 6 then going back to sleep until 8.

-He sticks to a schedule, that he sets, for about a week and then moves on. But it always includes 2 naps a day but the time of day and length vary. Makes scheduling SO much fun!

- He is eating more solids but is not a huge fan of them. He had a bad reaction to rice cereal so he is on oatmeal and loves green peas! He likes apples, carrots, and pears but hates green beans!

-He can sit up on his own and loves playing with his toys from his new postion.

-He is rolling around but would prefer if you hand him his toy rather than go get them.

-He would loved to be carried around all them time and gets bored easily.

-He doesnt have teeth just yet but the doctor says they are coming soon.

-He gets upset when you take away something that he likes a lot.

-He loves to pull on hair or jewerly, basically anything he can get his hands on.

-He sleeps with both hands behind his head and his feet crossed, right over left!

-He is weighing in at 18 lbs and 10 oz and is 27.3 inches long.

Here area few pics of my little (getting bigger) man!

Playing with his blanket! I love this pic because you can see his eye lashes - they are amazing!

Sitting outside reading a book...he loves outside and chewing on books! Thanks Granny and Papa for this book! He loves it!

I was feeling a little sentimental and thought I would do some comparison pics. Here he is a just 4 days old, sitting with me in the glider. (He is very small but I am very big too!)

And here he is sitting in the glider all by himself with the remote...such a boy!

Here are a couple of pics of him in his carseat - the first one is the car ride home and the second he was 7 weeks old!

And here he is reading his book again.

Eating Mommy's toes. (I promise they were clean!)

Another comparison - first bath 4 days old.

And here he is splashing like crazy! To say that this kid has fun in the bath is an understatement! He loves it and cries every time we take him out!

Pierson, Mommy and Daddy cant believe you are already half a year old! We love you so much!

Oreos

Do you ever have one of those days?

I am sitting at my kitchen table, eating Oreos for breakfast.

Today I woke up to a screaming baby. Why? Who knows.

I am sneezing my head off and my nose is a faucet.

I am working on a project for the company I used to work for and have a deadline to meet today.

My dog decided to try and dig her self out of the back yard again and is covered in mud sitting in her crate.

It is only 8:30 am.

And all I want to do is get away, but today I need to be a Mom, I need to work, I need to give my dog a bath, I need to do a load of laundry so my husband will have socks.

So because it is one of those days, I will probably be eating Oreos for lunch.

Family Pictures

Well, we decided it was about time to take a family picture. A girl Nate and I went to highschol with, Ambyr Porter, is a great photographer and met us in Frisco last Saturday to take some pics. It was cold and windy so Pierson wasnt too happy in most of the pics. We may be taking some more of just him to see if we can get him to smile! She posted a few pics up on her blog if you are interested! They look pretty good for a not so happy baby and a mommy not back down to her fighting weight! :)

Sick again...

So Pierson is sick again. Its another cold and it is in his head and chest. He sounds just terrible and is a mess. The sneezing and coughing, the poor thing. If I leave the room he freaks out. Doesnt really want to be put down and this morning I made his nose bleed because he was fighting so hard when I was trying to use the bulb to get the gunk. The paci is usually my saving grace but when you cant breathe its a no go. Hoping the sickness is gone before we go out of town this weekend! Here is a pick from this morning - you can see a little red under one of his nostrils! I think he may live!
