Operation Get Back In Shape

I need help. I havent run in a very long time but I started up again about 2 weeks ago. Once I build my stamina I LOVE to run, seriously love it, no better feeling! But...I am having trouble. I havent really updated my running songs on my iPod in about 2 years and when I am running I am already tired of ALL of them - they dont motivate me like they once did, problem #1. Problem #2, I dont drive as much as I used to (I had a 45 min drive to and from work) and so I dont listen to the radio all that much.

Here is where you come in...I need new running music. Anthing that has a good beat and maybe while you are driving in your car makes you think, "This would be a great running song." I am taking ALL suggestions, no genre is out.

Please leave your suggestions - my running future is in your hands, if I dont get new musci I am not sure how much longer I can keep this up.

P.S. A 9 month post is coming soon - We have been busy and I have been a lazy blogger! :)

i'm not going to be much help....i don't run and even when i do do cardio at my gym, i watch tv. (i have serious tv issues!) however, i do really like pink's song "sober". i don't necessarily like her and the meaning of the song probably isn't the best, but i do love the beat of the song--it makes me want to pivot. :)

BOOM BOOM BOOM...no idea who sings it...and not even sure that's the name of the song! No need to thank me! Also, "single ladies" by Beyonce is always fun.

Ran this morning and found the following as my favorite on my list. Not necessarily new, but may be new to you.

Lady Gaga - Pokerface & Just Dance

Ironically, the one with the best beat - Footloose. Ran an extra 10 minutes with that one on repeat. Not sure why.

Fergie has several that are on my list as well.

Okay here is what I do when I need to change up my music. First of all on I tunes you can download podrunner songs. Its like 45-50 minutes of beats and music. I really like them. Also if you google top running songs you can see good ones or just check out the top hits right now.

Right now I love Kelly Clarkson and Postal Service.
