Operation Get Back In Shape

I need help. I havent run in a very long time but I started up again about 2 weeks ago. Once I build my stamina I LOVE to run, seriously love it, no better feeling! But...I am having trouble. I havent really updated my running songs on my iPod in about 2 years and when I am running I am already tired of ALL of them - they dont motivate me like they once did, problem #1. Problem #2, I dont drive as much as I used to (I had a 45 min drive to and from work) and so I dont listen to the radio all that much.

Here is where you come in...I need new running music. Anthing that has a good beat and maybe while you are driving in your car makes you think, "This would be a great running song." I am taking ALL suggestions, no genre is out.

Please leave your suggestions - my running future is in your hands, if I dont get new musci I am not sure how much longer I can keep this up.

P.S. A 9 month post is coming soon - We have been busy and I have been a lazy blogger! :)

My Life...at 5:30

There are many days that I dread the time 5:30, I dont cook all the time but when I do, it looks a little somthing like this...

More food please...

Laundry still sitting on the kitchen table...
Sippy cup off the side of the high chair and juice all over the floor (he still cant drink out of one with the stopper thing in it...so it spills)
Bentley jumping at the door...needs to go out, RIGHT NOW!

Dinner on the stove...

Me...stain on shirt, still havent taken a shower for the day!
YEA!! Daddy is home! The BEST part of the day!

8 months

Our little man is 8 months old and SO much fun these days! We just love him so much and he makes us laugh every day!

- He is eating more foods and has started eating small pieces of food on his own. He loves cooked apples and carrots. He has also started eating meat, which kind of makes me gag but he seems to like it, espically Chicken and Apples and Turkey and Sweet Potatoes. Here he is tasting my popsicle and eating watermelon!

Eating watermelon in a mesh food thing (I dont know the technical name).

This is a look I get when he doesnt really like something. Looks like a mad scientist.
Followed by some sort of screaming/laughing. I love this face! And these pics show how long his hair is getting. We sometimes dont notice or forget because he wears the helmet.
A total mess, eating carrots.

- He talks or screams ALL the time unless he has a paci (which he would have all the time if we let him - he loves those things).

- He rolls wherever he needs to go and isnt the least bit interested in crawling.

- He still loves Bentley and tries his best to play with her.

- He loves to go outside. We take trips to the park and swing.

- When he is sitting up he tries to climb up you as best he can.

- He LOVES cell phones. (Sorry if anyone has recieved a call from me and there is no one on the other end.)

- He cries when you take something he wants away from him. (Usually the cell phone.)

- He LOVES swimming. The other day I took him to the pool and sat him on the edge and he would bounce off the edge and lunge towards me. No fear, yet...

Swimming at Grandpa and Annie's house.- He usually sleeps really well, unless I get him off his schedule!

- Sleeps with a paci and blanket.

- He loves to play Peek a Boo or as we like to call it Where's Pierson?

A few weeks ago he started smacking his lips ALL the time, he tought it was so funny!

I decorated his helmet a few weeks ago...

The back...

The front...

- He also loves to sit at the window and look outside. Here he and Bentely are watching the guys mow the yard.

Hanging out with friends, Katie and Julia. I seriously LOVE this girl, dont know what I would do without her friendship!

Taking a bath with Landry...

The next Conan O'Brien

He loves his Daddy!

We love you Buddy or 'P' as your Daddy calls you! Can't wait to see what the next months bring!

Brag Blogging

It seems that anytime I talk about how amazing I think my child is on my blog, he proves me wrong. So yesterday I couldnt believe he feel asleep in the nursery.

Well...last night I think he was on speed. He didnt go to bed until 8:30, when he is typically in bed by 7-7:30 and then he woke up at 4 and then was ready to be up for the day at 5:45! What a mess. I guess there is something to be said about good naps during the day!

I am done bragging about my child on my blog. I probably shouldnt do it anyway...I know not everyone thinks he is as wonderful as I do!

2 Things...

1. I think my child might have waved bye to the Target check out man today - that would be a first and it was so stinkin cute.

2. I started a Bible study for the summer and the time is right in the middle of Pierson's morning nap. I have been dreading this thinking he would be a mess all day because he would skip his morning nap. Well, he proved me wrong. I went to pick him up from the nursery and in a room of 11 other kids and 2 of them crying VERY loudly...my child was asleep in a crib in the same room! I was amazed!

I SO love this age! 8 month post coming soon!

Swimming

We took Pierson to the pool for the first time this weekend. He had a blast and loves the water! There was a kiddie pool that we let him play in and he would swim right up to the waterfall and splash around. The one thing Nate and I didnt realize is that his feet were touching the bottom of the pool so when we took him out the balls of his toes were bleeding. It didnt seem to bother him a bit though! The next day he wore socks!

Being pushed around...just hanging out!
Swimming like a big boy.

He was SO tired, this is how he feel asleep. If you look closely you can see the red on the bottom of his toes...poor thing!

7 months

Our little man is 7 months old. Hard to believe but we are loving it. The last month was probably the hardest we have had due to a combination of sickness, helmet, and teething but we now have 2 teeth and are feeling much better. He is truly such a happy baby and only gets really upset when he is hungry or tired. We have been having so much fun lately.

-We are almost done with physical therapy and he is getting stronger everyday. He is rolling all over the place and loves to play sitting up as well.

-We have had the helmet on for 3 weeks now and go back in tomorrow for a new scan. Hopefully there will be some improvement.

-He makes the sound, "a-da" over and over again. Sometimes Nate wants to think he is saying dada.

-He blows bubbles and spits everywhere.

-He loves to bang on things, tables, toys, shoe box, bowls, his legs, anything that will make noise.

-He loves to feel his teeth with his fingers.

-He is truly sleeping through the night, about 11-12 hours a night! YEA! (I feel like a new person!)

-He rolls everywhere he wants to go, but isnt close to crawling.

-He LOVES Bentley and moves his arms and legs very fast everytime he sees her.

-He doesnt like vegetables, I have tried them all - all 5 of them, really, cant they make more veggies? I have to trick him into eating them. I will give him a spoon of fruit and then veggies. After the spoon of fruit he opens his mouth wide like a bird and then after the veggies he cries. It is hilarious!

-He loves apples and pears, but doesnt like peaches.

Watching praise baby with his paci and blanket. He loves this blanket.

Playing with Grandmother on our trip to College Station.

Chillin at Pappasitos, chewing on a straw. What a mess.

On Daddy's shoulders.

Hanging out with Grandpa and Annie - this was the best pic of the 3 of them but Uncle Jared had to ruin it! :)

Feeding Bentley his leftover pears. I have a feeling this will be a picture we see a lot in our house.

This is what mom does when nothing else is working and needs to cook dinner. He loves being outside so here we are in the exersaucer outside - he played for about 35 mins like this!

He can now feed himself but doesnt really like too. Look mom, one hand!

Eating Gerber Puffs - loves these things!

This kid would drink water out of a cup any day but try to give it to him in a sippy cup and he just throws it on the floor. The sippy cup is not going very well.
He is also letting us know what he likes/dislikes more often. If he doesnt want to be held he pushes off with his arms. If he wants to be put down he leans over as far as he can and when he is upset, he wants to put his paci in his mouth.
He is growing up so fast and we just love him to pieces.
